Leicester Tarbiyyat Day Report – Date 12th April, 2015
On Sunday April 12th 2015, Leicester Jamaat hosted a very successful tarbiyyati forum at a local Community Centre Alhamdolillah The Leicester Mosque is currently undergoing a reconstruction programme and was unavailable for use.
National Secretary tarbiyyat Nisar Orchard sahib and his team kindly orchestrated the days proceedings.
The programme started at 12pm with Tilawat and a short introduction from the local Sadr Mirza Habib Akram.
The first session was an interactive PowerPoint presentation on various aspects of Tarbiyyat. The audience in the main hall consisted of 77 men and 55 women separated by a partition, yet both still able to see the screen. Many children were also present.
Nisar sahib’s enthusiasm for his subject was infectious and he had obviously spent much time preparing his format and title screens with various points of interest from the city of Leicester.
Active participation from both men and women was encouraged
And a couple of hours seem to race by with many people remarking at how engrossed they were with the proceedings that they lost track of time.
The topic chosen for this day was a persons spiritual and moral advancement .
The formal session finished on a light hearted note with separate teams formed to take part in a quick fire quiz .
Zuhr prayers were offered after this and then everyone enjoyed lunch together at around 3pm.
The whole days proceedings had a harmonious atmosphere and the information was very beneficial.
