Luton Tarbiyyat Day Report –  Date 5th July, 2015

On Sunday 05 July 2015, Luton Jamaat held its annual Tarbiyyat forum at Saints Community Centre. Through the grace of Allah the Almighty the forum was incredibly successful. Over eighty members of the Luton Jamaat attended which ranged from Lajna, Atfal, Khuddam and Ansar. The forum was conducted by Nisar Orchard sahib (Secretary Tarbiyyat UK).

In order to maximise the blessings during the month of Ramadhan and as attendance by Jamaat members during Ramadhan was regular the Amla decided to invite Nisar Orchard sahib during their weekly Jamaat iftari which on this occasion was a Sunday.

The forum proceedings commenced at 19:30 with the opening session chaired by Nisar Orchard sahib accompanied by Sadr Sahib Luton, Abdul Sami sahib. After Tilawat and its translation Nisar Orchard sahib opened the forum stressing that Tarbiyyat is a very important aspect of one’s life and it’s necessary to hold regular tarbiyyat activities.

Nisar Orchard sahib stressed the importance of Nizam-e-Jamaat and the importance of recognising who the local president and tarbiyyat secretaries were. All throughout the interaction presentation Nisar Orchard sahib emphasised that need to value our life and value the time we have in this world especially as we can taste paradise in this very life. Nisar Orchard also expounded upon the certain stages in an individual’s spiritual development as defined by the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) in his book ‘The Philosophy of the teachings of Islam’.

Nisar Orchard sahib further spoke of the need as Ahmadi Muslims to hold very high values and to shun all bad practises and adopt those practises that please our creator. Nisar Orchard sahib then spoke of the need of consistency as we all seek to progress academically, professionally and in family matters, but as Ahmadi Muslims more emphasis needs to be made in progressing in righteousness. The most honourable among you, in the sigh of Allah, are those who are the most righteous.

After Nisar Orchard sahib’s interactive forum in which all guests participated, the forum was concluded before the fast broke at approximately 21:15. After breaking the fast all members including Nisar Orchard sahib had dinner after which Maghrib and Ishaa prayers were led by Nisar Orchard sahib followed by Taraweh prayers.
