Cheam Tarbiyyat Day Report – Date 17th of February 2016
On the 17th of February 2016, Cheam Jama’at had their second Tarbiyyat Activity Day at St. John church hall Belmont. Alhamdulilah, by the grace of Allah, it was another incredible and extremely successful evening.
The grand total of attendance was 83, including all Ansar, Khuddam , Atfal, Lajna and Nasirat.
The program started promptly at 7 pm with Tilawat and translation from the Holy Qur’an.
Afterwards there was an interactive PowerPoint presentation delivered by Mr. Nisar Orchard. Many of the attendees participated by asking as well as answering questions and adding any relevant comments.
The presentation was about 4 of the 700 commandments from the Holy Qur’an; regularity in Salat; financial sacrifice; modesty & pardah and obedience.
The program also included a general knowledge quiz in which the audience was divided in two teams. Each team had two rounds of 10 questions each. Every moment of this evening turned out to be an interesting, informative and step forward for improving oneself.
The evening concluded with silent prayer at 8:35 pm and congregational prayer was offered shortly after.
Chicken Biryani with beverages as well as sweets was served to all the participants. Excellent Kashmiri tea turned this cold wet evening into a warm one.
Cheam Jama’at is extremely grateful to the Tarbiyat team for holding this insightful event. A request was made to Mr. Nisar Orchard to hold the next Tarbiyyat activity day on Sunday 8th of May at Banstead hall.
